All of the vehicle's control modules are checked, because a fault in one can affect another.

Check Engine Light Diagnostics
When a warning light appears, you get careful testing, a clear explanation of the real cause and an upfront price for the fix.
Have your light checked — (720) 230-2753A check engine light can feel alarming, but it is simply the engine computer telling you that something has stepped outside its normal range. The stored code narrows the search; it rarely names the failed part on its own. Two vehicles with the same code can need very different repairs.
Diagnostic work here is carried out by an ASE Master Certified technician with more than ten years at master level, using scan data, electrical tests and hands-on checks to follow the code back to its cause. You then receive a straightforward explanation and an upfront price for the repair.
Depending on the vehicle and the code, testing may include:
All of the vehicle's control modules are checked, because a fault in one can affect another.
The snapshot recorded when the light came on often reveals the conditions that triggered it.
Readings are watched as the engine runs and warms up to spot the one that does not behave.
Power, ground and signal checks show whether a component or its wiring is to blame.
Vacuum and fuel vapor leaks are located by filling the system with harmless visible smoke.
Coils, plugs, injectors and compression are checked cylinder by cylinder.
Pressure and flow are measured, because a tired pump can mimic a sensor fault.
Problems that only show up on the highway or a climb are recreated with the scanner connected.
When the light appeared, whether it flashes and how the vehicle feels all help shape the testing.
Each test either confirms or rules out a cause until one remains. We are glad to show you the evidence.
Once you approve the repair, it is completed, codes are cleared and the vehicle is driven until its self-checks pass.
Tricky electrical and drivability faults are handled by an ASE Master Certified technician.
You pay for the repair the evidence supports, not for a series of trial parts.
Diesel emissions and fuel faults receive the same careful, methodical testing.
